"The Department of Defense (DoD) Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO) represents the Secretary of Defense as the central authority charged with preventing sexual assault in the military and facilitating recovery for warfighters. SAPRO’s mission is to provide unparalleled warfighter support, advocacy, and recovery assistance – anytime, anywhere. SAPRO envisions a military free from sexual assault."
Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) occurs during April and this year's theme is 'STEP FORWARD. Prevent. Report. Advocate.' "The STEP FORWARD campaign is a call to action for all individuals to use their personal and collective strength to advance meaningful change in preventing and responding to sexual violence."
